Pakistan names squad for Sri Lanka Tests, Fawad Alam returns after 10 years

Pakistan has recalled left-handed batsman Fawad Alam after a gap of 10 years for the Test series against👍 Sri Lanka.

Chief selector a𓆉nd head coach Misbah-ul-Haq on Saturday revealed that 34-year-old Alam has been picked in the 16-man squad because of his recent prolific scoring in the domestic cricket.

The two-match series, which is part of the ICC 🔥World Test Championship, starts from December 11 in Rawalpindi. Karachi will host the second Test fromꦫ December 19.

Alam last played a Test match for Pakistan against New Zealand at Dunedin in November 2009. He scored a century on his Test debut against Sri𒅌 Lanka in July 2009 and has scored over 12,222 runs in his first-class career at a p🙈romising average of 56.84.

Alam is one of the two changes PCB has made in the 16-man squad that lost the two-matꦫches Test series against Australia.

Alam has replaced Ift🐽ikhar Ahmed while꧂ left-arm fast bowler Usman Shinwari comes in for 19-year-old pacer Mohammad Musa.
