India captain Virat Ko🦂hli is back at the top position in the latest ICC Test player rankings as former Australia skipper Steve Smith has slipped to No. 2 position.
Kohli’s 136 in a Day-Night Test against Bangladesh last week has earned him 928 points whereas Smith’s knock of 36 against Pakistan in Adelaide has taken him to 923 from 931 points.
Australia’s destructive opener David Warner has jumped 12 places to the 5th spot from 17th courtesy of a brilliant Triple ton against Pakistan. Marnus Labuschagne, who was ranked 110 during the start of the year has entered the top-10 list of batsmen for the first time in his career.
England’s Test skipper Joe Root has also pierced into the top 10 after his double hundred against New Zealand. Root has jumped 4 spots and reached 7th position from 11.

Among the bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah is still holding the fifth spot whereas Ravichandran Ashwin is in 9th position.🌊 The latest entry among the top-10 is of right-arm fast bowler Mohammad Shami who was at No. 11 ahead of the Pink-Ball Test.
Australia’s Pat Cummins, on the other hand, remains at the top with 900 ratings.

With a 10 wicket haul against Afghanistan, the West Indies off-spinner Rahkeem Cornwall has broken into the top 5✱0 while skipper Jason Holder 🔯moved into third place. Vernon Philander and Josh Hazlewood also gained one spot.
Chris Woakes and Roston Chase are the latest entry in the top-10 all-rounders’ list; they have grabbed the 10th and 8th spot respectively. Mitchell Starc has moved up one spot and Jason Holder remains at the top with 473 ratings.
