David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne plundered centuries as Australia dominated the o𒈔pening day of the Pink-Ball Test against Pakistan at the Adelaide Oval on Friday.
Warner completed his second century in as many Tests, exposing not only Pakistan’s listless bowling attack but also the visitors’ clumsy fielding in the day-night clash.
In the 42nd over of the first innings bowled by Iftikhar Ahmed, Shaheen Afridi could not stop the ball played by Warner in the deep fine leg. Afrꦅidi kept jogging the opposite way to where the ball ended up.

Then in the 58th over, Warner played a front foot drive that went past the cover for four runs. The 🐷ball had nearly come to a stop as Afridi kicked it into the boundary rope.

“I’m sure the captain would have had a chat to his troops at the drinks break and said, c’mon guys, let’s really switch on, let’s have a really good hour, lets take a few wickets and Yasir Shah overpitches and then Shaheen Afridi just kicks it for four,” cricketer turned commentator Michael Hussey said on Fox Cricket.
