WATCH: Rahul Tewatia loses his cool at Himanshu Rana after getting run-out vs Maharashtra in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

During a Super League match of the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy at Surat, Haryana all-rounder Rahul Tewatia lost his c𒈔ool at non-striker Himanshu Rana after getting run-out in a 168-run chase.

It all happened on the penultimaꦦte delivery of the 14th over when Rana hit a Naushad Shaikh delivery in the deep mid-wicket region. Eager to steal the second run, Tewatia kept on running towards the danger end without even looking at his partner.

By the time Tewatia realized that Rana had refused the second run, it was too late for the southpaw to reach back to the striker’s end. Despite Ruturaj Gaikwad’s wayward throw, a bit of an extra effort from Maharashtra wicket-keeper Nikhil Naik found Tewatia well short of his crease.

𒊎After losing his wicket, Tewatia was seen shouting at Rana, emphasizing the call being his own.

Here’s the video:

Coming out to bat❀ at No. 3 in the 11th over, Tewatia ended up scoring 28 (13) with the help of four fours and a solitary maximum.

A brisk 35-run partnership between Tewatia and Rana once brought the game in Haryana’s favor, but later they lost the low-scoring thriller by two runs.
