WATCH: Nicholas Pooran’s dubious act with the ball caught on camera during third ODI vs Afghanistan

West Indies left-handed batsman Nicholas Pooran has been making the headlines for all the right reasons from the last f♕ew months. He impressed everyone in the Indian Premier League (IPL), the ODI World Cup and recently starred for West Indies in th♛eir win over Afghanistan in the second ODI at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

Pooram slammed a 50-ball 67 as West Indies beat Afghanistan by 47 runs after posting 247/9 on the board. The win not only propelled Jason Holder & Co. to seal the three-match series but also helped them register their first ODI series win since 2014.

Well, the 24-year-old Pooran now looks set to make it to the news for the reasons he would not have wanted. The Caribbean star could land in trouble if the video doing the rounds on the inte😼rnet is investigated by ICC.

In the video, the Trinidadian cricketer is seen doing something suspicious. He is found scratching the ball and touching its seam during the third ODI against Afghanistan on Monday. Pooran, who is not keeping the wicket💝s in the series, was rubbing the ball on the back of his thigh.

In the past, a number of cricketers have faced the music for ill-treating the ball through various means. Last year, two top Australian cricketers in Steve Smith and David Warner along with a newcomer, Cameron Bancroft, were banned on the charges of tampering the red cherry during a Test match at the Newlands in South Africa. The issue had a prꦆofound impact on Australian cricket and its fans.
