Virat Kohli be🐎came the first Indian batsman to smash a ton in Pink Ball Test at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday.
In the process, the Indian skipper scored his 27th Test century. Kohli reached the landmark with a double off left-arm spinner Taijul Islam in the 68th over. He completed 🔯his hundred off 159 balls, which was laced with 12 fours.
Kohli came out in the middle when India were 43/2 after losing both the openers – Mayank Agarwal and Rohit Sharma -early. The captain first put up a 94-run partnership with Cheteshwar Pujara (55) and followed it with a 99 runs stand with Ajinkya Rahane (51).
After 🌜bowling Bangladesh out for a paltry 106 in their first innings, India in response have already posted a lead of 183 til𒉰l lunch on Day 2.
