Mayank Agarwal slammed the second double centur♐y in only his 8th Test as India took firm control over Bangladesh on the second day of the first Test in Indore.
Playing his first Test against Bangladesh, Mayank saw fellow opener Rohit Sharma dismissed cheaply, but he found strong support from Pujara. The two add๊ed 91 for 🌱the second wicket before Abu Jayed made early inroads on the second morning.
Jayed removed Pujara and Virat Kohli in quick succession, but once Ajinkya Rahane🐻 walked to the crease and joined f🐼orces with Mayank, Bangladesh was left stunned. Mayank and Rahane stitched 190 runs partnership for the fourth wicket. Rahane missed out on a well-deserved hundred as he was also dismissed for 86 by Jayed.
Mayank then went on to complete hi🐟s double hundred by smashing Mehid💟y Hasan for a massive six over wide long-on.
However, when the Karnataka-born batsman was on 210, a hilarious incident took place. Rohit came out of the dressing room, inst🍰ructing Mayank to go ꦐfor big shots.

Ironically, the 28-year-old got out playing a big shot as Jaydev caught him off Hasan on 243 runs off 330 balls. Riding on Mayank’s double ton, the hosts have gained a lead of 343 runs over the tourists.
