Australian opener David Warner once again proved too hot to handle for Sri Lanka as he single-handedly guided the hosts to a comprehensive seven-wicket win in the third and final T20I on Friday.
Warner scored an unbeaten 5🌌7 off 50 balls at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) with the help of four boundaries and a six to take Australia past the challenging total of 142/6 postedℱ by Sri Lanka.
However, for most of his innings, Warner struggled to find a rhythm and was battling at 37 from 36 at one time. Sri Lanka missed 🐈a spectacular effort to dismiss him while a ball from Lahiru Kumara had rebounded off his body and rolled down to touch the stumps twice but did not dislodge the bails.

The southpaw also became the first batsman to remain unbeaten in a three-match T20I series. Having scored 217 runs at a strike rate of 147.61, including a century and two half-centuries, Warner was declared as “Player of the Series.”
