Ajinkya Rahane reveals the difficulties to face Pink Ball under lights

India Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane has revealed that batting against the pink ball under lights in Kolkata wa𒈔s a challenging task. It was difficult because the pink ball swings late under lights.

Rahane scored a ha💙💫lf-century in the first-ever Pink Ball Test match played by Team India against Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens.

“First and Second sessions were not as difficult as the third session because under the lights the pink ball was swinging late and therefore it was not easy to judge the tendency of moving deliveries,” Rahane said.

When Ajinkya was asked about the catch he dropped of Mehidy Hasan Miraz, he said, “You still have to be positive; you have to look for that catch. The attitude matters a lot after dropping a catch.”

The Mumbai batsman is having a dream run in 2019 as he’s the leading run-scorer for India in the current calendar year after opener Mayank Agarwal. Rahane has played 8 Test matches in 2019 and scored 642 runs with an average of 71.33.

Rahane has scor🃏ed a couple of tons and five fifties in the ongoing calendar year.
