Adelaide Strikers legspinner Amanda-Jade Wellington was left stunned when her boyfri⛎end proposed in front of teammates and hundreds of cheering fans. After their thumping win over Melbourne Renegades on Saturday, the Strikers were seen giving autographs🌳 to the fans.
Tayler McKechnie, who has been dating Wellington for over a year, soon took the help of ground staff to get the players together for what they all thought was a “group photo.”
Wellington had no 👍idea what was going on when McK🦄echnie came on the field.
“When I saw him on the field, I just thought: ‘Get off, we’re trying to take a team photo.’ I had no idea what was really happening, but I’m so happy, I’m still shaking,” she said.
McKechnie proposed Wellington using a Pokemon card with the words ‘Will you marry me?’ written on it and the ring inside the ‘poke ball.’
The 22-year-old Amanda didn’t think twice before happily saying ‘Yes.’
