The newly-elected BCCI President Sourav Ganguly suggested a ‘Contract System’ for first-class cricketers. Ganguly mentioned that his team has already started working on it.
“We will bring in a contract system for first-class cricketers. We will ask the new finance committee to prepare a contract system,” told Ganguly.
After he was annou♛nced as the sole BCCI president-elec🧸t nominee on Oct 14, Ganguly hinted to focus on domestic cricket.
“It’s just been four-five days, and in between, there was a Diwali break. It will take about two weeks to assess everything and move forward. There is a lot of work going on,” he added.
The contra൲ct system will help to increase the remuneration of the domestic cricketers who are currently paid﷽ Rs 35,000 per day match fee for first-class games.
Within the first week of his appointment, Ganguly has beeꦯn successful in organizing the first Day-Night Test match iܫn India. For the pink-ball contest, India will fa🍷ce Bangladesh at Eden Gardens from November 22-26.
