Indian Premier League (IPL) franch♍ise, Rajasthan Royals, has roped in Andrew McDonald as their new head coach for a period of three years.
McDonald, who played just four Tests for Australia, has an impressive record as a coach. Under his coaching, Victoria clinched the Sheffield Shield in the 2016-17 season. He had also led Victoria to Australian cricket’s domestic treble last summer and helped them win the One Day Cup.

McDonald even💟 guided Melbourne Renegades to their maiden Big Bash 💜League (BBL) title last year.
He has earlier playedꦡ in the IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore (R🦋CB) and was associated with the franchise before being removed during the sweeping changes in 2018.
After joining the Royals, McDonald said: “I’m delighted to join the Royals family. It’s a great honor to take on this responsibility.
“The Rajasthan Royals is a new, exciting challenge for me, and I can’t wait to get started working with our world-class players and coaches in one of the biggest sporting leagues in the world.”
