Social-media shy Jennifer Aniston broke the internet as she made her Instagram debut on Wednesday. The 50-year-old’s epic, first post – that gave ‘Friends’ fans a glimpse of what a reunion of the hit sitcom would look like – has garnered over 12.3 million likes.
Aniston’s picture, featuring former co-stars Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanca and Matthew Perry sent fans into an overdrive, and also crashed the app for a while.
“And now we’re Instagram ‘FRIENDS’ too. HI INSTAGRAM,” Aniston captioned the picture.
The actress, whose bio reads “My friends call me Jen”, has 11.7 million followers, and is following 121 accounts including her ex-husband Justin Theroux.
Like many others, former Australia cricketer Damien Martyn too reacted to the news of Aniston crashing the Instagram app with ‘Friends’ selfie debut.
“Incredible numbers in followers after only 5 minutes #Instagram #JenniferAniston #SocialMedia,” tweeted Martyn.
