The🔥 first T20I of the three-match series between Australia and Sri Lanka turned out to be a no-contest, with the hosts thrashing the tourists by 134 runs in Adelaide.
Batting first, Australia blasted 233-2 from their 20 overs with opener David Warne🍃r scoring his maiden T20I hundred and Aaron Finch (64) and Glenn Maxwell (62) 🍷making excellent contributions.
While Warner was the star of the show with an unbeaten 100 off 56𝔍 balls, Maxwell played some eye-cat🧔ching shots as well during his 28-ball innings that was laced with seven fours and three sixes.
One-shot in particular – off seamer Kasun Rajitha in the 18th over – stood out among the rest. Staying deep in his crease, Maxwell whipped a full-length delivery over the mid-wicket fence with a twirl of the wrists, reminiscent of the ‘helicopter’ shot made famous by India wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni.
Here’s the video:
Maxwell brings out the helicopter! Consecutive sixes for the Australia's No.3!
