On Tuesday (September 24), in a low scoring🐈 match, India defeated South Africa by 11 ꧃runs at Lalabhai Contractor Stadium in Surat. Winning the first game, India goes up 1-0 in the five-match series.
It was also a magnificen💝t sight as the stadium was pack♓ed with spectators. The fans came out in huge numbers to support the home team. Over the years, BCCI has invested a lot of resources to increase the awareness and viewership of women cricket.

Earlier, South African skipper Sune Luus won the toss and invited team India to bat first. Opening batsman Shafali Verma got dismissed without scoring any runs. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur played brilliant innings of 43 runs off 34 ball🐭s, smashing 3 fours and 2 sixes. At t🌸he end of 20 overs, India managed to score 130/8.
During South African innings, the Indian bowlers took wickets at regular intervals putting pressure on the opposition batsmen. In the end, the Proteas team got all-out for 119 runs in 19.5 overs. For I𒉰ndia, Deepti Sharma took 3 wickets giving only 8 runs, while Shikha Pandey, Poonam 🎐Yadav, and Radha Yadav dismissed 2 batsmen each.
