Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah on Saturday produced a lethal opening spell and rattled West Indies by picking up the first five wickets. Three of these came off successive deliveries in the ninth o🙈ver to leave the hosts tottering at 87 for seven at stumps.
Bumrah made inroads into the Windies line-up in the seventh over byౠ inducing an edge from John Campbell, which ꦺRishabh Pant accepted gleefully.
An over later, Bumrah was at his lethal best as he took the wickets of Darren Bravo, Shamarh Brooks and Roston Chase in three consecutive balls to complete his maiden Test hat-trick.
He first dismissed Bravo caught by KL Rahul at t♔he secon🦩d slip and then had both Brooks and Chase LBW in the next two balls.
With this h🌺at-trick, Bumrah has become only the third Indian after Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan to achieve the feat in the longest format of the game.
Bumrah’s figures read 6/16 from 9.1 overs at the end of the second day’s play.

Test hat-trick for Jasprit Bumrah , a very special bowler. India very lucky to have found him and what a champion he proves to be everytime.
Greatest find in the last 7-8 years.— Mohammad Kaif (@MohammadKaif)
Bumrah wouldn’t have had the hattrick if it wasn’t for the DRS. In fact, if Kohli thought of going with the bowler. Only the third Indian bowler to claim a hattrick in Tests…currently the best bowler in the world across all formats. Without doubt.
