Veteran opener Chris Gayle, on Sunday, became the first player to complete 13,000 runs in T20 cricket. And his side Jamaica Tallawahs broke a four-game losing streak with ꦰa fou🏅r-wicket victory over Barbados Tridents in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

Chasing 141, Chadwick Walton, who became Tallawahs’ third captain after Chris Gayle and Rovman Powell, saw wickets tumble around him but kept his calm and struck five sixes and a four in his 42-ball 51 not out and took the hosts’ the line with nine balls to spare.
Some cracking b𝔍oundaries were hit tonight by the Tallawahs

Earlier, the Tridents could manage only 140 for 9 after being put in to bat as the Tallawahs’ spinners strangled them right from the start. George Worker started well by dismissing Alex Hales and Johnson Charles, Ramaal Lewis restricted the middle order and Zahir Khan’s variations proved too much for the visitors’ lower order as the three combined to pick 7 wickets for 59 runs from ten overs.
HOWZAT! The Tallawahs produced some great wick𒆙ets that earned them the win against the Tridents
