Explosive West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell suffered a nasty blow on the head while batting in a Caribbean Premier League (CPL) match on Thursday. Russell wa🍸s playing for the Jamaica Tallawahs at Sabina Park. Post🐭 the incident, he was immediately rushed to the hospital for a CT scan.
St Lucia Zouks fast bowler Hardus Viljoen’s short ball had hit Russell’s helmet near the right⛄ ear.
The 31-꧒year-old fell on the ground, and the Zouks’ fielders helped him remove his helmet. However, when the medical team arrived to🐻 check Russell’s condition, the right-hander was able to stand up on his feet.

The🦩 big-hitting Jamaican started walking off the field w⭕ith a brace on his neck. He couldn’t make the long walk back to the pavilion, and hence, a stretcher was arranged.
Tallawahs head coach Donovan 𒊎Miller said that there wasn’t any fresh update on Andre Russell’s injury as of now.

Later on, an update from the 💧franchise confirmed that Russell was in no such danger as the injury was not a serious one.
