West Indies vs India 2019: Virat Kohli takes a one-handed screamer to dismiss Evin Lewis

Virat Kohli was at his best on Sunday as he scored a majestic ton to guide his team to victory over West Indies in the second ODI of the three-match series.

Kohli, who scored 120 off 125 balls, looked completely at ease against the Windies attack and he went on to complete his 42nd ODI hundred with the help of 14 boundaries and a six.

It was his 8th ODI century against West Indies. Therefore, he has become the first player in the history of the game to score eight or more hundreds against three different oppositions in ODIs. Kohli had previously scored eight ce♛nt☂uries apiece against Australia and Sri Lanka.

The Indian talisman was also outstanding on the field, taking as many as three catches. Among them, the catch he took to dismiss Evin Lewis stood out. The moment of brilliance came at out when Lewis was goin♔g all guns blazing, having scored 65 runs off 80 balls with t💯he help of eight fours and a six.

On the second delivery of the 28th over, Kuldeep Yadav churned out a short-pitched ball that spun away from Lewis. The left-handed batsman went on his back foot and tried to loft the ball over the cover region. Even though he timed the ball to perfection, he didn’t get enough elevation to clear the fielder.

Kohli was patrolling the covers and seeing the ball coming to him at a rate of knots; he pulled out a jump. He went after the ball with his right hand and managed to latch on to it. After completing the stunner, Kohli placed a finger on his lips as if to silence the Caribbean supporters present at the Queen’s Park Oval.
