New Zealand thrashed ♒Sri Lanka by an innings and 65 runs in the second Test in Colombo on Monday to level the two-match series 1-1.
The victory was achieved with an hour left on day five when Lasith Embuཧldeniya edged a short delivery from Trent Boult to Kane Williamson at gully.
Sri Lanka was b🎉owled out for 122 runs after the Blackcaps declared their second innings on 431 for six with a first-innings ꦛlead of 185.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Niroshan Dickwella (51) fought a lone battle for the hosts but he was the nint🙈h man to be🍷 dismissed after a three-hour vigil.
Sri Lanka, who scored 244 in their f🍎irst innings, were still 187 ไbehind when they started their second innings.
Ajaz Patel, Tim So🅘uthee, Trent Boult, and William Somerville all bagged two wickets apiece.
With this win, New Zealand has also earned a valuable🦹 60 points to get off the mark in the ICC World Test Championship.
