The victory💞 was achieved with an hour left on day five when Lasith Embuldeniya edged a short delivery from Trent Boult to Kane Willia꧋mson at gully.
Sri Lanka was boꦡwled out for 122 runs after the Blackcaps declared their second innings on 431 for six🅷 with a first-innings lead of 185.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Niros✤han Dickwella (51) fought a lone battle for the hosts but he was the ninth man to be dismissed after a three-hour vigil.
Sri Lanka, who scored 2🌼44 in their first innings, were still 187 behind when they start🌳ed their second innings.
Ajaz Patel, Tim Southee, Trent Boult, and William Somerville all bagged two wickets a💞piece.
With this win, New Zealand has also earned a valuable 60 points to get off the 🦋mark in the ICC World Test Championship.
