Rashid Khan has been appointed the captain of Afghanistan team in all formats. Former skipper Asghar Afghan will be his deputy, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) anno💎unced on Friday.
Rashid Khan will take ODI charge from Gulbadin Naib, who led Afghanistan in their World Cup 2019 campaign and Test captainship from Rahmat Shah. The 20-year-old Rashid was already the skipper of Afghanistan’s T20I team.

He will now lead the A🔜fghans in a one-off Test against Bangladesh in September, a tri-series involving Bangladesh and Zimbabwe before a full home series (to be played in India) against West Indies that will include three T20Is, three ODIs and a one-off Test between November 5 and December 1.
