6 unfortunate players missing from the Indian ODI side for the Windies tour

Now that the World Cup is over, Team India will look to start ♌afresh. It was the unstable middle-order in the batting line-up that let the team down and cost India the World Cup.

On Sunday, July 21, the MSK Prasad-led Selectioಞn Committee announced the team for the upcoming tour of the West Indies.

India will be playing 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs and 2 Test Matches, and they will look to forget their World Cup woes and have the last laugh against the Caribbean giants. However, some bo🔜ld decisions and controversial calls were made during the selection, and clearly, the fans and experts are disappointed to 🔜the core.

Here are 6 players who were unlucky to 🌠🦄be overlooked and deserved to be a part of the ODI side:

1.) Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill INDIA

Shubman Gill had a dream IPL run, and even though he couldn’t perform in the 2 ODIs against New Zealand, he should have been given another opportunity. An apt choice for the no. 4 batting position, this tour would have been a great chance for Gill to prove himself as he can play both the spinners and pacers with the utmost ease.

2.) Sanju Samson

If youngsters are the ones who are looking to be groomed for the future of Indian cricket, then surely Sanju Samson deserved a chance. Even though he lacks consistency, he had a super IPL and knows how to keep the scoreboard ticking under pressure and he can silence his critic🐲s with brilliant batting performances. Also, his wicket-keeping skill is a big factor as to why he should have been picked.
