Australia’s Glenn Maxwell and Aaron Finch combine smartly on the boundary to catch and dismiss Chris Woakes in the league match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at Lord’s on Tuesday.
It all happened in the 42nd over of England’s chase which was bowled by Jason Behrendorff. On the third delivery, the Aussie left-arm pacer bowled a slower one on the middle stump and Woakes attempted a big shot to clear the mid-wicket boundary. The shot was timed perfectly and it appeared that the ball would travel the distance. However, Glenn Maxwell had other ideas as he ran to his right with a focus on both the ball as well as the boundary rope.
He took the catch but then realized that he would not be able to balance himself while heading towards the boundary. Nonetheless, he passed the ball to Finch who made no mistake whileꦏ completing the catc🌳h.

This was Behrendorff’s fourth wicket as he went to complete a memorable five-wicket haul against England in his next and final over. Thanks to Behrendorff’s outstanding figures of five for 44, Australia managed to trump England by 64 runs to book their place in the semi-finals of the quadrennial event.
