WATCH: Team India celebrated Dinesh Karthik’s 34th birthday

Indian middle-order batsman and the man behind the Nidahas Trophy 2018 victory, Dinesh Karthik turned 34 today. Karthik is currently in Southampton with the Indian team who are all set to play their first match of the ﷽ICC World Cup 2019 against South Africa on 5th Ju𓆏ne.

On his special day, the team celebrated 🧜by having a cake cutting ceremony for Kartik🌠.

Karthik made his ODI debut in 2🌜004 and is playing his second World Cup tournament. It was a hard decision for the captain and the management, selecting Dinesh over young Rishabh Pant for the 1ಌ5 member World Cup squad.

During an interview earlier this month, Indian skipper Virat Kohli explained th🐷e reason behind picking Karthik. “In pressure situations, he’s shown composure. It was something that everybody on board was convinced about.”, told Virat.

Karthik expressed his excitement on his selection by posting a video on socialꦯ media and thanked his fans and m🎀anagement in believing in him.
