Australia beat England by 64 runs to become the first team to seal a birth for the semi-finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Hosts England had a stiff target to chase after Australia posted 285/7 in their full quota 𓃲of 50 overs.
The Eoin Morgan-led side lost early wickets a𒁏nd were struggling at 53 for 4 when all-rounder Ben Stokes came out to bat. He with Jos But🐼tler (25) added a 71-run partnership before Buttler was dismissed with the team score on 124 in the 28th over.
The turning point in the match, however, came in the 37th over, when Mitchell Starc castled Stokes🎃 for 89 (off 115 balls) with a ferocious inswing𒀰ing yorker.
The southpaw was frustrated with his untimely dismissal and kicked his bat in fury. Also, England’s hopes of winning the game ended with his dismissal and Stokes was well aware of that.
