ICC World Cup 2019: Virat Kohli walks off the field without edging short ball from Mohammad Amir

India captain Virat Kohli gave himself out during the World Cup clash against Pakistan at the Old Trafford in Manchester, only for replays 🔜to suggest that he made a big mistake.

Kohli was batting on 77 when he tried to hook Pakistan seamer Mohammad Amir and got what he thought was a thin nick through to the Pakistani wick𒉰etke𝕴eper Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Pakistan players appealed in unis🔯on but umpire Marais Erasmus was not convinced.

Kohli, however, did not wait for the umpire’s decision and walked off the field.

Replays suggested the𒉰 Indian talisman, who in the course of his innings became the quickest player to reach 11,000 one-day international runs, had 🅺erred with no spike indicating a nick detected on the Ultra Edge system.

India were then 314 for five, with their innings petering out to a final total of 336 for five after Kohli’s exit.

The Indian skipper appeared visibly frustrated when ba𒈔ck in the changing room.

Earlier, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul added a 136-run opening stand, seeing off Pakista🐲ni pacers with ease. Rahul reached his third ODI fifty and was dismissed at 57 off 78.

Rohit led the scoring for the Men in Blue with a mammoth knock of 140, while Amir was the picꦯk of the Pakistan bowlers with three wickets.
