India missed a big opportunity as they failed to review a decision against England opener Jason Roy during their ICC World Cup 2019 match in Birmingham on Sunday.
On the fifth delivery of the 11th over, Hardik Pandya placed the field for a short ball and then bowled one that was straying down the leg. The ball brushed the batsman’s glove and Pandya immediately went for the appeal which was turne👍d down by umpire Aleem Dar and instead signalled for a wide. After having a brief conversation with Dhoni and Pandya, Virat Kohli decided not to review the decision and the timer ran out.
The replays suggested Ro🍬y had some gloves on it and had India reviewed iﷺt, Roy would have been a goner. This was one of the rare instances when Dhoni got it wrong and India were denied a wicket.
