Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan endured one of his most difficult outings in international cricket as he conceded🤪 a record-breaking 110 runs against England in World Cup 2019 match on Tuesday.
His unusually disappointing performanc🐽e made him the butt of all jokes.
Iceland Cricket, the Twit𓆉ter handle that has taken the ๊world of cricket by storm over the last two years, was one of many who took a jibe at Rashid.
“We’ve just heard that Rashid Khan has scored Afghanistan’s first century of the #CWC19! Wow! 110 from 56 balls. The most runs ever scored by a bowler in the World Cup or something. Well batted young man,” read their tweet.

However, Rashid’s bashing didn’t gown well with the cricketing fraternity.
Englishmen Jofra Archer and Luke Wright, along with New Zealand’s Ish Sodhi and Australia’s Jason Gillespie slammed them for the message. India’s Bishen Singh Bedi was also pretty critical of the tweet.
Terrible tweet

Later, Iceland Cricket made an apology for the tweet. In their messa🃏ge, they also tagged Archer, Sodh𝓀i, Wright, and Gillespie.
Apologizing for the previous tweet, Iceland Cricket wrote: “We’re really sorry. Mick Lewis goes for 113 off 60. Stuart Broad goes for 36 off 6. Ben Stokes goes for 24 off 4. Everybody had a laugh at them. We didn’t see this as any different. But evidently, it is. Hands up. We apologize. @JofraArcher @lukewright204 @ish_sodhi @dizzy259”
