In the second match of the tournament, Jason Holder led West I🎀ndies team comfortﷺably defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. The star of the match wa𒁃s the Windies pacer Osha⛦ne Thomas who picked up 4 wickets in his spell of 5.4 overs, giving just 27 runs.
Earlier, Windies skipper won the toss and elected to bowl first. Pakistan team failed to build any meaningful partnership and only managed to put 105-10 in 21.4 overs. This was Pakistan’s second-lowest total in the World Cup, after 74 vs England in 1992.
Apart from Thomas, Jason Holder picked 3 wickets and Russell picking up 2. Overall, it was a brilliant♉ bowling performance by the West Indies t💟eam.
The Windies reached the target in just 13.4 overs with 7 wickets in hand. West Indian opener Chris Gayle played a fantastic knock of 50 runs in 34 balls, hitting 6 fours and 3 🥃sixes.
Pakistan will face England in their next game on 3rd June at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
