Arjun Tendulkar, son🦹 of cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, will be pl﷽aying for Akash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburb in the Mumbai T20 League 2019. Arjun has been roped in for a whopping amount of Rs 5 lakhs.

Arjun was drafted in the auction for the fi𒈔rst time at a base price of Rs 1 lakh. An intense bidding session between the eight franchises saw the Triumph Kings (Mumbai North East) initially bid Rs 4.5 lakh for him but North Mumbai Panthers raised it to Rs 5 lakhs.
However, as per rule, the two new teams – Akash Tigers and Eagle Thane Strikers – were given the option to avail the Opportunity to Match (OTM). Eventually, it was Akash Tigers which bagged Jr. Tendulkar.
Before the auction, players like Su🙈ryakumar Yadav, Akash Parkar (Triumph Knights Mumbai North East), Shivam Dube, Siddhesh Lad (Shivaji Park Lions), Prithvi Shaw (North Mumbai Panthers), Jay Bista and Dhrumil Matkar (SoBo Supersonics), Shu﷽bham Ranjane, Tushar Deshpande (Arcs Andheri), Shreyas Iyer, Eknath Kerkar (Namo Bandra Blasters) were retained by the six franchises.
Aditya Tare, Sarfaraz Khan (Eagle Thane Strikers), Dhawal Kulkarni andꦡ Shams Mulani (Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs) were chosen by the two new franchises in the eight-team affair.
The second season of the tourna🌌ment starts 🌞on May 14.
