Ashton Turner got a lot of love from his Rajasthan Royals (RR)♛ teammates after finally scoring his first run in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Turner, who had so far made three golden duck✱s in the tournament, remained not out on 3 as the hosts defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday.
Chasing 161 runs to win, Rajasthan got to a flying start as their opening batsmen, Ajinkya Rahane and Liam Livingstone, struck regular boundaries in the powerplay overs. Both added a 78-run stand which came to an end wheꦉn Rashid Khan got hold of Livingstone, who scored 44 runs. Rahane gave away his wicket after scoring 39 runs.
Sanju Samson and Steve Smith the꧒n added another 55 runs to the scoreboard before th🍌e RR skipper got out. However, both had already set the base for the upcoming batsman as they were just 13 runs away from victory.
26-year-old Turner came out to bat and both Turner and Samson took their side over the finish🐬ing line.
