David Warner scored a quick-fire 50 and Jonny Bairstow smashed unbeaten 61 after Rashid Khan took 2 for 17 off 4 overs as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 6 wickets at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday. This was only SRH’s third victory over CSK in the IPL.
CSK skipper MS Dhoni, who didn’t play Wednesday’s game due to back spasm, shook hands with the SRH players after the match got over and was seen talking to Warner, Vijay Shankar, Sandeep Sharma and had teammate Shardul Thakur amidst the discussions as well.

In Dhoni’s absence, Suresh Raina led the defending champions against the 2018 runners-up. Raina is one of only 2 batsmen to score over 5000 runs in the IPL.
After CSK’s win over KKR on April 14, MS Dhoni had said his back was a little tight due to a spasm.
“Back spasm,” Dhoni said at the post-match presentation ceremony. “It’s a little tight right now but hopefully, it will get better.”
