It was touted as a blockbuster clash between the top two teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL) this season but in the end the match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) turned out to be a one-sided encounter as the home side thrashed the visiting team by 7 wickets to go back to the top of the points table on Tueꦐsday.
The Super Kings first restricted the Knight Riders to 108 for 9 and then chased down the target with 16 balls to spare at the MA 💦Chidambaram stadium in Chennai.
CSK’s win was mainly set up by the bowlers – Deepak Chahar, Harbhajan Singh and Imran Tahir – as the young pacer combined with the spinners to run through the KKR batting lineup.
