Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) came out wearing green jerseys against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday to spread a message on environmen𝓀tal conservation.
The Royal Challengers have worn the green jerseys in the previous editions of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well, as part of their “Go Green” initiative.
During the toss, Kohli also posed with Delhi Capitals captไain Shreyas Iyer holding a plant. As a tradition, the RCB captain gave the opposition capta🌳in a plant on the day of the initiative.
This IPL season, RCB is focusing on raising awareness of recycling. In a video posted by the IPL official handle, the two captains can be s🧜een signing on the green jerseys made of recycled plastic.

The Bangalore franchise has been continuing this practice since the 2011 seas♍on to create awareness about global warming. They have al♌so been taking initiatives to plant trees.
Kohli & Co. have also earlier asked the fans to travel by buses to save fuel.
In 2016, RCB players took the initiative to reach the stadium on cycle w♒hile CNG rickshaws were arranged for fans to reach the stadium.
