The 20-year-old Surrey batsman Wiꦺll Jacks smacked six sixes in an over on his way to a 25-ball century against Lancashire in Dubai on Thursday.
Jacks scored 105 runs off 30 deliveries, with the hel🌠p of 11 sixes and eight fours. The six sixes came in one over off Stephen Parry, which also included a ♕no-ball, making the tally 37 from the over.
However, the ton won’t be entered in the record books as the fastest because the pre-season T10 match between Surrey and Lancashire wasn’t an officially-recognised encounter.
The record for t♋he quickest century is 30 balls, set by the Windies giant Chris Gayle during the IPL🥂 2013.
“From the first ball I just tried to play my shots, after the first few overs my intention was to try and hit every ball for six, and I think after four sixes I thought, ‘I could hit six sixes here’. I had never done it before and it was nice to do that and something I will cherish,” International Cricket Council (ICC) quoted Jacks as saying.
