Vijay Shankar’s direct hit from long-on found Ross Taylor short of his crease in the second T20I between New Zealand and India at the Eden Park on Friday.
In the 19th over of the first innings, Mitchell Santner played the last delivery, bowled by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, towards long-on. The Kiwi batsmen completed the first run♏ quickly and dashed off for the second.
Shankar, fielding at long-on, hit the stumps at the non-striker’s end as Taylor struggled to make the ground.

Meanwhile, after the embarrassing loss in Wellington, India produced a thoroughly clinical performance against New Zealand in Auckland to level the three-match T20I series 1-1. Skipper Rohit Sharma scored a brisk 28-ball half-century to lead India’s chase of 159. Rohit and Shikhar Dhawan added 79 runs for the first wicket before Rishabh Pant played an important knock to help India avenge the humiliation of first game.
