India’s veteran wicketkeeper MS Dhoni once again showed he has superpowers as he ran out New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham in the fifth ODI at Westpac Stadium on Sunday.
The incident happened in the 37th over of the second innings and Neesham was looking extremely dangerous. He hit three consecutive overs for more than 10 runs as he struck Hardik Pandya for 11, Mohammed Sham🌼i for 10 runs and Bhuvne🔥shwar Kumar for 13.
Following the onslaught, stand-in-skipper Rohit Sharma turned to India’s man with the golden arm, Kedar Jadhav. On the second ball of Jadhav’s over, Neesham missed a sweep shot and the ball hit his back leg.

A huge appeal from the wicket-keeper and the bowler followed even as the batsmen tried to sneak in the run. Meanwhile, the ball went behind the stumps and Dhoni, along with a✅ppealing had an eye on the ball as well.
Dhoni was aware of the batsmen going for a single and upon col𒆙lecting the ball, he sensed a chance. Neesham was out of his crease trying to steal a run and MSD affected the run-out with a direct hit.
As soon as the ball hit the stumps, Dhoni s😼tarted celebrating with his teammates and the replays confirmed that Neesham was well 🃏outside the crease.
