Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni once again showed his brilliance behind the stumps by running out two Australian batsmen on one just delivery during the first T20I of the two-match series played in Vizag on Sunday night.
The incident occurred in the 16th over of Australia’s 127-run chase when Peter Handscomb and D’Arcy Short were batting in the middle at scores of 13 and 37 respectively.
Umesh Yadav bowled a full-length delivery and Handscomb flicked it to the leg side before heading for an easy couple. While taking the second run, Handscomb and Short decided to have a mid-pitch handshake but Dhoni first collected the throw from Krunal Pandya to hit the batter’s one end before handing the ball to Umesh to dislodge the bail off at the other end.
Since the double play is n♒ot allowed, Short had to 🌃make a long walk back to the pavilion.

Meanwhile, India went on to lose the match by three wickets in the last ba🍸ll thriller. The two teams will now he♔ad into the series-deciding second T20I on Wednesday at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
