WATCH: George Bailey, Daniel Sams’ heartwarming gesture after kid gets hit by a cricket ball

A young kid was taken to hospital after getting hit in the head by a cricket ball during the Big Bash League (BBL) clash between the Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Thunder at Manuka Oval on Saturday.

The George Bailey-struck maximum appeared to catch the youngster flush on the head, before🅘 bouncing further 10 metres back into the stands.

Bailey immediately stopped the game to make sure the child was okay, and the medical team ru👍shed to the boundary, but the boy looked only slightly distressed as he hugged his father.

After th🍌e end of Hurricanes innings, Bailey gave the young fan his gloves while the Thunder bowler Daniel Sams delivered a signed cap before the boy was rushed to hospital as a precautionary measure.

Meanwhile, Sydney Thunder, who started their BBL 08 season with a bang💛 at Manuka Oval and finished at the same venue with another win, faile🐟d to qualify for the semi-finals.
