Yuzvendra Chahal opened his 2019 accou🎀nt with a six wicket-haul in his first match of the year, spinning his way through the Australian batting line-up in the third 𓆏and final ODI of the three-match series at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
He also went to crea🐼🌱te a few records and registered a career best figure in ODI cricket.
Chahal matched Ajit Agarkar’s 6-42 during 2004 tri-series to record the joint best-ever ODI figures on Australian soil.
In doing so, he also improved on his previous best of 5-22 against South Africa at Centurion in January 2018ꦅ.
Coming 𝄹to bowl in the 24th over, Yuzi picked up two wickets straightaway in the name of Shaun Marsh and Usman Khawaja.
Later, the leg-spinner got the scalp of Marcus Stoinis.🍎 The Aussie all-rounder found an edge, and an excellent catch at the first slip by Rohit🍎 Sharma saw him getting dismissed.
The leggie got the big fish, Peter Handscomb plumb in front of🌳 the wickets as well. Further, Chahal ran through the tail, getting the wickets of Jhye Richardson and Adam Zampa.
