Australian all-rounder Ben Cutting’s misjudged attempt to grab a regulation catch in the Big Bash (BBL|08) on Thursday left him with a bloody face.
The incident happened in the group stage fixture between the Melbournꦫe Renegades and the Brisbane Heat, who Cutting plays ꦫfor.
Defendꦚing a target of 145, the Heat were in the field when Renegades opener Marcus Harris to🦹p-edged a delivery from James Pattinson.
The ball went high into the sky 𒐪as Cutting positioned h🐻imself to take the catch.
Unfortunately for him, the ball went straight through has hands and smashed 💎into his nose, leaving him blood🥀ed and on the field.

To his 𝔉credit, Cutting was up with a smile on his face, but he was still forced to leave the field for treatment.
The all-rounder, however, returned to the field after receiving five stitches and later passing the concuss♌ion test.
