Rohit Sharma dives backward to save his wicket but fails badly

Rohit Sharma was the top-scorer for India as he made 62 off 77 balls during the visitors’ successful 244-run chase against the hosts New Zealand in the 3rd ODI of the five-match series at the Bay O📖val on Mondayꦰ.

Rohit’s innings was laced with three fours and two sixes. The right-handed opener combined with Shikhar Dhawan (28) to get India off t꧒o a decent start posting a 39-run stand for the 1st wicket. He then partnered captain Kohli (60) to add another 139 runs for the second wicket and put India on the course of a memorabl🐼e series win in New Zealand.

Rohit was looking solid to register his 23rd ODI hundred but got stumped off the bowling of left-arm spinner Mitchell Santไner. He even dived backward to save his wicket but failed⭕ badly.

It was t💃he first time since 2012 that Rohit got stumped and the last time he got o🥂ut in the same manner was against the same bowler during the T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka that year.
