Sri Lankan veteran Rangana Herath received a ‘Guard of Honour’ from the visiting England team in his farewell Test at Galle when he walked out to bat.
Herath retired from international ඣcricket as one of the most successful Lanꦿkan bowlers in Tests after Muttiah Muralitharan who scalped 800 wickets.
During the Galle Test, Herath became the second oldest cricketer to pick up a wicket apart from becoming the third bowler in the history of the game to take 100 Test wickets at a venue. He joined Mur๊alitharan and James Anderson to that list.

A classy touch from England… 👏
Root shakes Herath’s hand to show the respect they and the cricket 🐼wor🐠ld have for the retiring spinner. 🤝
