Persistent rain saw the second T20 International at the MCG washed out, sparing Australia after Indi🍒a had taken the upper hand in the first innings.
Australia had scraped to 132 for 7 with one over left when rain st🌟opped play. Despite a few false starts with India set revised targets from 11 overs and then from five overs, both attempts to rest𒐪art the game were nixed as the rain returned just as players were about to walk back onto the field.
The match was eventually called off just after 10 pm (♉local time), with Australia taking a 1-0 lead into the final game of the three-match series on Sunday at the SCG.
However, India’s left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed took two crucial wickets in the abandoned T20I on Friday after getting hammered in the opening game at The Gabba.
The 20-year-old also celebrated in his 🐬own style after sending back the Aussie big-hitter Chris Lynn on 13.
It was Lynn w🔯ho smashed Khaleel for 𓂃back to back sixes in an over in Brisbane and therefore, the Indian pacer redeemed himself after dismissing the Australian counterpart in Melbourne.
