A rut🀅hless India completed a nine-wicket demolition of the Windies in the fifth and final ODI at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananth꧟apuram on Thursday.
Left-arm spinner♑ Ravindra Jadeja took four wicket🐼s to help India bundle out the tourists for 104 in just 31.5 overs.
Theꩲ home team took just 14.5 overs to reach the paltry target, courtesy an unbeaten 99-run stand between Rohit Sharma (63 off 56) and captain Virat Kohli (33 off 29), following another low score from Shikhar Dhawan (6 off 5)🍎.
Though Rohit’s innings was majorly chanceless but he received a life in the eight over of the second innings when Windies pacer Oshane Thomas delivered a huge no-ball. In the end, it proved to be a massive difference as India didn’t lose any more wicket and romped home comfortably.
The last ball of Oshane’s over was a back of a length delivery and it nipped a bit to take the outside edge of Rohit’s bat. The right-handed batsman obliged to the same and started walking back to the dressing room. He was unaware of the action at the other end as the umpire had called it a no-ball. Oshane had crossed the line by a huge margin only to reprieve the batsman.
Meanwhile, Kohli shouted his heart out to call back his deputy to rejoin h𓃲i📖m to the crease.
