South Africa leg-spinn🥀er Imran Tahir took a hat-trick in a magical spell against Zimb💧abwe at Bloemfontein on Wednesday.
The 39-year-old Tahir, who had been asked about his r𒊎etirement plans before the match, showed that there is still a lot of energy left in him as he rattled the visitors with a mix of googlies and leg-spins.
Tahir, who ended the game with 6/24 in six overs – his second-best figures in𒐪 ODI cricket, behind 7/45 against the West Indies – as South Africa registered a 120-run victory to claim the three-match series 2-0.
Tahir ripped through the Zimbabwean bat🥂ting when he trapped Brendan Taylor leg before in his first 𓃲over, then dismissed Sean Williams, Elton Chigumbura and Peter Moor with successive deliveries to get his hat-trick.
He also went on his usual excitabl🅠e run across the field to celebrate the🍌 fourth ODI hat-trick by a South African, following Charl Langeveldt, JP Duminy and Kagiso Rabada, and the 45th player in world cricket.
