A scoreboard error caused India C captain ♐Ajinkya Rahane to celebrate his century even before he actually reached the three-figure mark against India B in the Deodhar Trophy final at the Feroz🏅 Shah Kotla Stadium on Saturday.
Rahane and Ishan Kishan slammed respective centuries to help their side clinch the title by beating India B in the final. For the defending champions, Shreyas Iyer slammed a ton as w🍬ell but it went in vain as his team fell short by 29 runs in the 𓂃end.
However, in a funny turn of events, after having a look at the faꦿulty scoreboard, Rahane thought he had completed his century and ended up raising his ba༒t to acknowledge his teammates in the dressing room.
But soon the correction was made as hi🎶s teammates signalled that he was still three runs behind. Suresh Raina stood up and showed him three fingers which, ⛦with a sheepish grin, Rahane eventually saw.
He reached his century later on, with a single and this time, there was no confusion. For his match-winning ton, Rahane was also chosen as the ‘Player of the match’.
