The pitch seemed to be batsmen friendly as the visitors posted a huge total of 322 for the board, thanks to a sensational hitting from middle-order batsman Shimron Hetmyer. Earlier, in the 4th over of the match, Shami cleaned up debut Chandrapul Hemraj oꦺn a quicker delivery. Hemraj, who is the son of Windies legendary batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul departed for ju﷽st 9 runs.
The left-hander was trying to pull Shami’s delivery but edged it into the stumps.
