With England holding an unassailable 3-1 serie♚s lead over India, Alastair Cook fell shortly after the Tea break at The Oval, following a trademark, patient innings of 71 off 190 balls.
After the series-clinching fourth Test win at Southampton, Cook anno𒁏unced that he would be retiring from international cricket after the final test, which began on Friday.
Cook received a standing ov🦹ation from the crowd as he walked out back to the pavilion after being surprised by an in-ducker from Jasprit Bumrah. He will now have to hope for a second shot at a 33rd Test century in the second innings.
