With England holding an unassailable 3-1 series lead over India, Alastair Cook fell shortly after the T൲ea break at The Oval, following a trademark, patient innings of 71 off 190 balls.
After the series-clinching fourth Test win at Southampton, Cook announced that he would be r✱etiring from international cricket after the final test, which began on Friday.
Cook received a standing ovation from the crowd as he walked out back to the pavilion after being surprised by an in-ducker froꦬm Jasprit Bumrah. He will now have t⛎o hope for a second shot at a 33rd Test century in the second innings.
