England continued their domination over India on Day 3 of the second Test at Lord’s cricket ground. After bowling out the visitors to mere 107 on the second day, England piled on the agony and ended up making 357/6 at stumps on the third day.
Despite reducing the hosts to 89/4 in the first session, Indian bowlers couldn’t manage to tighten up the screws. Firstly, wicketkeeper batsman Jonny Bairstow added a 42-run stand for the fifth wicket with Jos Buttler and then followed it up with a match-changing 189-run partnership with Chris Woakes.
Bairstow scored 93 runs befo✨re Dinesh Karthik took a blinder off Hardik Pandya while Woakes registered his maiden Test century off 12🌌9 balls.
After Bairstow’s dismissal, Woakes carried on his superb show with the hero of the last match – Sam Curran. The duo forged an unbeaten 37-run stand in rather quick time to dent India’s confidence before the bad light stopped play and the game was eventually called off for the day.
While Woakes remained not out on 120,🐭 Curran stayed at the crease on unbeaten 22 as England stretched their lead to 250 runs at stumps on Day 3.
Cricket experts and fans were impressed to see the way Woakes and Bairstow took the game away from Virat Kohli & Co.

I have not read much about this anywhere but I feel India could have managed Bhuvi better to keep him fit for this all imp series. His presence would have made a huge difference. Can’t afford injuries in a tou🦹rwhich comes once in 4 years where his skills would be vital.

Blessing in disguise for India. Only thing that can help India in saving this match is the rain. But a true Cricket fan would want to see result not rain, as it is the better tea🍨m who wins.
